There is no better way of having quality fun than getting to visit places harboring entertaining environments than your home. They serve as a better means of relaxation for the whole family. There are many places which offer such great fun to the people but ones which have managed to captivate families are the water parks available in Europe. There are many parks in this part of the world which have much on offer for the whole family. However, out of the many available to choose from, there are some which are much popular among the people.

Siam water park, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain
Siam water park, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain by stephen jones

One of them is the Siam water park. It is found in the Adeje region (Tenerife) and has the popular tower of power. This tower has a notably long slide which ends with a tunnel passing through a shark tank. You should however not be worried as people are protected from the sharks. In addition to this, there is the vertical slide dubbed the dragon on which one slides at a great speed. For the ones who love surfing, the large pool waves with sandy beaches are sure to catch your attention. Simply, there is something for the whole family.

The Tropical Islands in Germany is another great water park in Europe. It has great indoor pools which are large enough to accommodate about 8,000 people. There are many slides in this place and it is up to you to choose the one you want. Presence of an indoor pool means that the family gets to have a wonderful time irrespective of the environment outside. This place has tropical pools and beaches to make the time spent here simply amazing.

When looking at the great parks in Europe, there is one which cannot be overlooked. This is the Alpamare water park ideally located near the shores of Lake Zurich. This park offers both indoor and outdoor pools to families. It is the largest covered park in Europe. Therefore, you can be sure that the children will have ample space to play in and have fun. The area is more than enough and there is no congestion as it is the case with other water parks in other different locations. To make the experience even more wonderful, there is the underwater music in the outdoor pool.

To add onto the options of wonderful places to have fun with the family, there is the Aquariaz water park in France. It happens to be one of the newest family destinations. It is also the highest but not the biggest. Within this park, any type of slide that comes to your mind is readily available. Notably, the place is open throughout the year including the winter season. Without a doubt, it is one of the best places for families during the summer break. However, if one wants to come with the family to Europe and have a wonderful time, you should first consider going for the passport applications.

These popular locations have been presented by Ellen Nicola who has vast experience of the travel industry. She has worked in this industry for about 20 years. She has also been involved with expanding of online information on travel since the inception of the World Wide Web.

Picture the scene: it’s a scorching hot summer’s day in Abruzzo and the sun’s rays are beating down. You may be relaxing in your villa’s private garden with a cold refreshing drink in hand, and the kids are playing outside, but they’re getting more and more restless. What you need is a fun, outdoor activity that all the family can enjoy…something that will bring lots of laughter and smiling faces…what you need is a fun-filled day out to Aqualand!

Aqualand Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy
Aqualand Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy by aqualandvasto.com

Aqualand is a spectacular aqua park in Vasto that is perfect for all the family – adrenaline seekers, nature enthusiasts and sun worshippers alike! About 50 minutes drive from Villa Ducale in Abruzzo, it is ideally situated so you can visit when you have a day free, without having to plan in advance. This is especially convenient, as we would recommend you visit a water park on a fairly warm, sunny day to make the most of the water-fuelled fun.

For those of you that love the thrill of water slides, you will discover around a mile of slides at Aqualand, ranging from the terrifyingly-exciting Kamikaze vertical drop slide or the high speed hill slide where you can race to the finish against your family and friends, to the gentler ride along the slow-moving rapids. There are even a couple of mini slides especially for babies and younger children, so they too can enjoy the excitement of the water park.

Aqualand also offers 3,000 square metres of swimming pools to enjoy, including everyone’s favourite – the wave pool! There is even a whirlpool where you can sit amongst massaging bubbles, perfect for lifting any stress away. Isn’t that what holidays are for after all? So whether you want to ride the waves, have a relaxing swim or complete some lengths for a bit of exercise, there is a pool for you.

Tobogans in Aqualand Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy

There are so many more attractions than just swimming pools and water slides to discover at Aqualand, however. For example, you can choose to watch a musical or dancing show at the Aqualand Theatre or take part in some sports and fitness, including the gym. There are also lots of wide open green spaces where you can enjoy a spot of sunbathing, reading a book or eating an ice-cream.

Another favourite attraction you will find at Aqualand is the petting farm. With many different animals including ponies, donkeys, rabbits and goats, the whole family, especially the younger children, will adore being able to pet the cute animals.

As you can imagine, at the end of a day out at Aqualand everyone will be feeling extremely tired after lots of laughter and exhilarating fun. And when the kids are fast asleep in bed early, you can enjoy a nice relaxing evening – that’s if you’re not fast asleep too!

Aquapark Meander Park Oravice is situated near the town of Tvrdošín, surrounded by the West Tatras and Orava Magura mountains.

The thermal water in swimming pools
All pools in the resort are filled with the natural thermal water which rises from a depth of 1611 meters and has beneficial effects. Thermal water is highly mineralized sodium – calcium – magnesium – sulphurous with high iron content. Its composition helps to musculoskeletal disorders, urinary tract and kidneys. Water temperature ranges up to about 58 °C, so it must be cooled.

Thanks to the thermal water, Aquapark Oravice is available 12 months a year regardless on the weather conditions. It covers an area of 1545 square meters and you can find here a great sport – relaxing pool, large and small relaxation pool and cooling pool. The pools are equipped with water attractions such as artificial waves, bubble seats, bubble benches, a geyser, a water mushroom, spouts, massaging jets. Of course there is also a water slide.
