Aqualand is a spectacular aqua park in Vasto that is perfect for all the family – adrenaline seekers, nature enthusiasts and sun worshippers alike! About 50 minutes drive from Villa Ducale in Abruzzo, it is ideally situated so you can visit when you have a day free, without having to plan in advance. This is especially convenient, as we would recommend you visit a water park on a fairly warm, sunny day to make the most of the water-fuelled fun.

For those of you that love the thrill of water slides, you will discover around a mile of slides at Aqualand, ranging from the terrifyingly-exciting Kamikaze vertical drop slide or the high speed hill slide where you can race to the finish against your family and friends, to the gentler ride along the slow-moving rapids. There are even a couple of mini slides especially for babies and younger children, so they too can enjoy the excitement of the water park.

Aqualand also offers 3,000 square metres of swimming pools to enjoy, including everyone’s favourite – the wave pool! There is even a whirlpool where you can sit amongst massaging bubbles, perfect for lifting any stress away. Isn’t that what holidays are for after all? So whether you want to ride the waves, have a relaxing swim or complete some lengths for a bit of exercise, there is a pool for you.

There are so many more attractions than just swimming pools and water slides to discover at Aqualand, however. For example, you can choose to watch a musical or dancing show at the Aqualand Theatre or take part in some sports and fitness, including the gym. There are also lots of wide open green spaces where you can enjoy a spot of sunbathing, reading a book or eating an ice-cream.

Another favourite attraction you will find at Aqualand is the petting farm. With many different animals including ponies, donkeys, rabbits and goats, the whole family, especially the younger children, will adore being able to pet the cute animals.

As you can imagine, at the end of a day out at Aqualand everyone will be feeling extremely tired after lots of laughter and exhilarating fun. And when the kids are fast asleep in bed early, you can enjoy a nice relaxing evening – that’s if you’re not fast asleep too!

She is the most famous name in maritime history because of her tragic maiden voyage. On 15th April 1912 the RMS Titanic sank in the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg on a journey from Southampton to New York.

She was carrying 2,224 passengers and crew, but after sinking there were only an estimated 705 survivors.

The short life of the magnificent ship began in 1909 when construction began at the shipyard in Belfast. As the birthplace of the fated vessel, Belfast is home to one of the finest museums dedicated to the liner in the world.

Titanic Belfast Visitor Experience

The building itself is a work of art as an artistic impression of four ships hulls towering 90 feet high. It’s the world’s largest attraction dedicated to the Titanic, the main exhibition taking up 11,000 square metres of space.

The façade of the building has a dynamic appearance, covered in thousands of 3D aluminium plates that, especially on a sunny day, are spectacularly enhanced by the surrounding reflective pools. It is situated just 100 yards from where Titanic’s hull was first launched. With the help of the ship building the Northern Irish city enjoyed its greatest economic boom of the 20th century.

As soon as you enter the vast exhibition you see everything from the early beginnings when the liner was just an idea to its tragic end in 1912.

The Launch

On 31 May 1911 Titanic was launched, watched by an adoring crowd of around 100,000 people. At the centre you can stand at a window and look down the slipway where Titanic once sat. State of the art technology means that you can flick a switch and as if my magic you will see the ship resting on the slipway.

The Wreckage

Titanic lies 13,000 feet below the waves in the North Atlantic, but thanks to the tireless work of oceanographers you can walk through a detailed gallery of the amazing images and footage that have been collected over the years, as the ship every day becomes more a part of the seabed.

Legendary Tales

Few stories have received as much attention in story and film as the Titanic. There’s a gallery that shows just how much it has features in pop culture. Can you tell the difference between fact and fiction?Check out the posters and paraphernalia to see how much you really know about the legend.

You mustn’t miss this, and it’s an easy trip from any centrally located hotel in Belfast, and I’m sure you won’t be far from some knowledgeable people who can help you get there.

It’s the greatest maritime story in the world and Titanic Belfast is a fitting testament.

Aquaboulevard is the biggest water park in France and maybe the biggest aquatic indoor recreational water park in the Europe. It is located in the 15th Arrondissement of Paris and has parking space for up to 900 cars. It is spread throughout 7000 square metres and it is a great place for all the family.

Dedicated to providing enjoyment and fun for virtually all ages, Aquaboulevard has beautiful tropical surroundings, with the air and water inside the complex being kept at a very comfortable 29 degrees Celsius all year.

The Aquaboulevard is situated within a massive sports complex that has tennis courts, a complete gym, squash courts and a fitness centre along with lots of other facilities, which is a great place to keep up with your sporting passion or just to go and have some fun and relax.

As well as the indoor part of Aquaboulevard, there is an outside section with outdoor pools, even a beach and a grass area for sunbathing.

You will also find a 14 screen cinema complex and no less than seven restaurants and one that overlooks the pool does some fantastic meat dishes, plus there is a sports store and a play area. There is also a wave machine in one pool that is turned on and off at different intervals throughout the day, but there are lots of other pools as well, so all members of the family can enjoy themselves, plus there are some Jacuzzi‘s.

The whole day adult ticket costs 25 Euros.

Within any public swimming pool in France everyone must have fitted swim wear, so the men are not allowed to wear shorts, they need to be trunks like a professional swimmer would wear and the ladies have to wear a full swimming costume. This is also the same for the children as well, so be prepared, otherwise you will have to purchase these in the shop before being allowed to go in.

Children under the age of three are not allowed to access the Aqua Park and an adult must accompany any child below the age of twelve.

The Aquaboulevard is open seven days a week from 9am to 9pm during the weekdays and from 8am to 9pm at the weekends.
