Grazzano Visconti

Grazzano Visconti Castle is a fortress located in the province of Piacenza in the town of Vigolzone. The castle has four towers (in each corner), two of them are cylindrical and two squares.

It was built in 1395, probably on an existing structure, by Giovanni Anguissola to reside with his wife Beatrice Visconti, sister of Gian Galeazzo Visconti.

You will also find the large park (150,000 m2) surrounding the castle. that hosts the church, the Duke study, the viewpoint that looms over Rio Grazzano, the labyrinth, the Italian garden and several specimens of trees.
