Cyprus – The Perfect All Rounder

Cyprus has for many years been seen as a tropical holiday destination, perfect for couples, families and even Brits who are planning on retiring. It is easy to see why people flock to Cyprus.

Cypriot people are very friendly, and are noted for their hospitality. Anywhere you visit in Cyprus, you are likely to find that the local people are accommodating and will always create a relaxing atmosphere.

There are many festivities that go on in Cyprus; festival events are common throughout the year. You will find the beer festival in July particularly entertaining, and the local people will always try to get tourists involved in the night long dancing and fun.

Not only is Cyprus known for its people, but it is a beautiful island in itself. There are many beautiful beaches and resorts around Cyprus, filled with clear blue waters and golden sands perfect for a romantic, relaxing getaway. One of the main resorts in Cyprus is Paphos. This is probably one of the busiest areas of Cyprus, as well as Pretaras and Ayia Napa. All of these resorts are great for people looking for a holiday with lots to do and see.

Cyprus also has a lot of history, which is why it attracts many intellectuals to the island to explore the ancient civilisations. Some of the most famous attractions in Cyprus will include the beautiful Paphos harbour, the castle, ruins, and Aphrodite’s rock.

If you are really into good food, Cyprus has a lot to offer. There are many different Greek and Turkish dishes on the island. Cyprus is known for its Meze, which is a selection of small plates that the Spanish would call “tapas”. These range from meats to fish dishes, which all are freshly prepared and not too expensive to buy if you’re on a budget.

Cyprus uses the euro. Euro exchange is extremely easy to do throughout the UK and in the majority of airports across the world. This makes it easy to travel into Cyprus, and the prices are often very favourable.

Cyprus is a great place to go for the adrenaline junkies out there with a wide range of water sports and activities such as windsurfing and sail boating. For those like a walk in the glorious sunshine, Cyprus is an ideal place to explore. There are many walks along Hillside tops and along the beaches; some undiscovered areas of the island make any walk a real treat and great for couples to take some time out.

Cyprus is very easily connected to other airports around the world. If you are living in the UK, you will find that most of the airports across the UK offer direct flights to Cyprus. It takes only a short time to travel to Cyprus by aeroplane, usually around 2 to 3 hours. This makes it very easy to get to – especially if you have small children.
