Picture the scene: it’s a scorching hot summer’s day in Abruzzo and the sun’s rays are beating down. You may be relaxing in your villa’s private garden with a cold refreshing drink in hand, and the kids are playing outside, but they’re getting more and more restless. What you need is a fun, outdoor activity that all the family can enjoy…something that will bring lots of laughter and smiling faces…what you need is a fun-filled day out to Aqualand!

Aqualand Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy
Aqualand Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy by aqualandvasto.com

Aqualand is a spectacular aqua park in Vasto that is perfect for all the family – adrenaline seekers, nature enthusiasts and sun worshippers alike! About 50 minutes drive from Villa Ducale in Abruzzo, it is ideally situated so you can visit when you have a day free, without having to plan in advance. This is especially convenient, as we would recommend you visit a water park on a fairly warm, sunny day to make the most of the water-fuelled fun.

For those of you that love the thrill of water slides, you will discover around a mile of slides at Aqualand, ranging from the terrifyingly-exciting Kamikaze vertical drop slide or the high speed hill slide where you can race to the finish against your family and friends, to the gentler ride along the slow-moving rapids. There are even a couple of mini slides especially for babies and younger children, so they too can enjoy the excitement of the water park.

Aqualand also offers 3,000 square metres of swimming pools to enjoy, including everyone’s favourite – the wave pool! There is even a whirlpool where you can sit amongst massaging bubbles, perfect for lifting any stress away. Isn’t that what holidays are for after all? So whether you want to ride the waves, have a relaxing swim or complete some lengths for a bit of exercise, there is a pool for you.

Tobogans in Aqualand Vasto, Abruzzo, Italy

There are so many more attractions than just swimming pools and water slides to discover at Aqualand, however. For example, you can choose to watch a musical or dancing show at the Aqualand Theatre or take part in some sports and fitness, including the gym. There are also lots of wide open green spaces where you can enjoy a spot of sunbathing, reading a book or eating an ice-cream.

Another favourite attraction you will find at Aqualand is the petting farm. With many different animals including ponies, donkeys, rabbits and goats, the whole family, especially the younger children, will adore being able to pet the cute animals.

As you can imagine, at the end of a day out at Aqualand everyone will be feeling extremely tired after lots of laughter and exhilarating fun. And when the kids are fast asleep in bed early, you can enjoy a nice relaxing evening – that’s if you’re not fast asleep too!

Most people today will check out TripAdvisor before booking a holiday as this is the place where you can see some of the most honest and useful reviews about destinations, hotels, bars, restaurants and attractions. While many people will not have a bad word said about TripAdvisor others think that some of the reviews are posted by people who simply want to be malicious. Whatever your viewpoint on this is one thing is certain – when you have a bad review/s on TripAdvisor that are accompanied by photos that back up the review you know that you are not reading a fictional account of a particular place.

Tour Operators BewareSmart people now make full use of TripAdvisor and will actively post comments while they are being a particular hotel or resort. This means that an information on an outbreak of food poisoning, poor hygiene from staff at a hotel, dangerous areas, filthy swimming pools, bugs, dirty rooms and more can and will be made available for everyone to see as soon as they are noticed. Information like this, especially if it is posted while on holiday can help others to avoid a hotel or resort and can make your case stronger if you need to make a claim against your tour operator when you get back home.

If you find that something is not right while on holiday you should speak to your rep as soon as possible as they are your first point of contact while abroad. They should be able to work with a hotel or resort staff to solve the problem immediately, if not they know that they can face the wrath of unhappy holidaymakers when they post comments on TripAdvisor. If you are planning on posting comments however you need to make sure that you are not just moaning and making comments that could be seen as libellous. They should always be true comments or you could find that your griping becomes a problem for you personally, so never make a comment that cannot be backed up.

If you are planning a holiday spend a little time on TripAdvisor and get a real feel for the destination or resort/s that you are interested in. Doing this will give you an insight into the experiences of other holidaymakers and prevent you from making a mistake by booking the wrong holiday. Don’t be put off by one comment mentioning food poisoning if there are another hundred praising somewhere as this could be an isolated incident. But if a hotel has constant comments complaining about it your money will be put to better use planning a holiday elsewhere.

Making a complaint about your hotel after a disappointing holiday is a process where valuable help from a solicitor would be useful so you know your rights and what to say to make your case a strong one.

Holidays are that time of the year when you can simply not have to worry about going to “that important meeting” or about having to “get that work done on time”. Going on a cruise would be an excellent idea. Cruising is quite popular nowadays amongst people looking to have a good time on their time off from work. The best part about going on a cruise is that it is now quite affordable and accessible. Various cruises are available for all at various prices.

Cruise ship with pool
Cruise ship with pool by Michael R Perry

Here are 4 reasons why you should go on a cruise for your holiday:

Prices: the prices are very reasonable and you can get all types of cruises available throughout the year. You can get amazing accommodation and entertainment on a cruise at prices as low as $ 150 a day. A variety of cuisines can be enjoyed and dinners are lavish and extravagant at low prices. If you are going to get some time off from work, you might as well spend a little money and enjoy yourself and take your family and friends with you, too. Do a little research and you can get amazing discounts and prices and enjoy extravagant cruises.

Getting pampered: throughout the year you have to go running through markets and shops, get home and cook and prepare your foods for yourself. You have to spend hours to ensure you have everything you need. Well, when on a cruise (or as the Danes call it krydstogt) you need not worry about that. The first-class services on cruises, regardless of the prices, are remarkable. You can spoil yourself by getting a comfortable massage or just sink into a Jacuzzi on board. If you are going to spend some money on going on a cruise, let them take care of you while you relax.

Activities: one can enjoy different activities when on a cruise. Go for swimming in the swimming pools on board. Live-a-board diving is very popular in certain parts of the world such as the Maldives. Live-a-board diving is an activity whereby divers dive off a ship at different points to enjoy the waters and the marine life. You can play golf at the dock or enjoy the casinos that some cruise ships offer. Enjoy other such relaxing activities with your family and friends when on board!

Satisfaction: you would definitely have a good time on a cruise enjoying different activities, spoiling yourself and going on cruises at a reasonable price. You can enjoy different and new horizons. Not much packing is required either and so you do not have to worry about losing any of your clothes or luggage. In addition to this you and your family would have a good, stress-free vacation on a cruise.

These are just some of the reasons you should go on a cruise for your holiday. If you want to get some peace of mind and have a good time, go on a cruise!

If you have never visited London before, then it’s probable that you are searching for a hotel room you can rent that isn’t going to cost you an arm and leg. If you wish to find the best deals on booking a London hotel room, then you need to follow these simple steps:

Tower Bridge, London, UK from the blog www.stuckincustoms.com
Tower Bridge, London, UK by Trey Ratcliff

1. One of the things that you first have to get straight concerning London is the fact that there are very few off-season periods. No matter what time of year it is, travelers are coming from around the world in order to visit this historic city for one reason or another. Because of that fact, you’ll not find many times of the year that the London hotels aren’t busy, and some times of the year there aren’t any bookings to be had.

2. The next most important thing that you need to know about booking London hotels is the fact that there is a large variety of different ones stretched out all over the city. If you’re looking for the most posh hotels in London, then you’re going to want to check out the offerings in the middle of the city, or Central London as it is known, as this is where all of the luxury hotels reside. These hotels are only for those individuals who have the budgets to afforded, as you won’t find anything better in regards to luxury, comfort, and overall decadence. If you are able to swing it however, chances are you’re going to have an experience that you won’t soon forget as you will be catered to by a plethora of luxurious services that only these posh hotels offer. Many of the amenities include spas, swimming pools, and the finest of fare from world-class chefs.

If you don’t have the budget to afford one of these posh and exclusive hotels in London, then you might be better off opting for one of the more affordable options that will provide you with nice accommodations at a price that is affordable. This will allow you to spend the remainder of your vacation money on traveling around London and seeing all the sights. None of these affordable options are going to be located in central London, but if you search around Ealing, Finchley, or Dockyards, you can usually find one to suit your budget.

If these moderately priced hotels are more than what you want to afford, then you might be better off searching the outlying areas of the city where they have many of the budget hotels. These are great because they allow you to rent a room for not even half of what you would need to pay for one of the more expensive hotel rooms. The downside of renting out one of these rooms is the fact that the majority of sights that you’re going to want to see in London are quite a distance from these locations so you will have to spend a lot of time traveling around in order to view them. This really shouldn’t be that big of a deal however if you are limited on the amount of money can pay for a hotel room.

3. In order to book one of these cheap hotel rooms in London, there isn’t any need to go visiting every one of them, as the majority of them all have their own website today. All you have to do is look them up online and make an inquiry on how much the rooms are and whether or not they have any rooms available. All of these hotels are going to allow you to book one of their rooms on the web, so finding a room isn’t going to be that difficult as long as you have a credit card and Internet access.

4. While there are not many instances in the London tourist season that would be considered the off-season, occasionally you can get lucky and find a hotel that is offering an online deal for their rooms during their off-season. If you are able to score such a deal, you can save a lot of money on the cost of your room and spend it on other things.

5. Another great way to find some budget or cheap hotels in London would be to put either of those terms into one of your favorite search engines like Google, Bing, or Yahoo. Doing that is sure to provide you with a number of listings of websites that offer services for finding the best deals on hotel rooms in London that will fit into your budget.

Infrared sauna is a deep thermal procedure that regenerates the muscles, skin and tissue. Its advantage, due to lower temperature (35-55 ° C), is that the organism is less affected than in the traditional Finnish sauna.

Infrared sauna does not heat the air, as in traditional saunas, which makes the body sweat at lower temperatures and the effect is better. Infrared radiation get 1 cm below the skin surface, where release toxins (poisons) accumulated under the skin and through sweat glands push them out of the body. Aquapark Meander Park Oravice is situated near the town of Tvrdošín, surrounded by the West Tatras and Orava Magura mountains.

The thermal water in swimming pools
All pools in the resort are filled with the natural thermal water which rises from a depth of 1611 meters and has beneficial effects. Thermal water is highly mineralized sodium – calcium – magnesium – sulphurous with high iron content. Its composition helps to musculoskeletal disorders, urinary tract and kidneys. Water temperature ranges up to about 58 °C, so it must be cooled.

Thanks to the thermal water, Aquapark Oravice is available 12 months a year regardless on the weather conditions. It covers an area of 1545 square meters and you can find here a great sport – relaxing pool, large and small relaxation pool and cooling pool. The pools are equipped with water attractions such as artificial waves, bubble seats, bubble benches, a geyser, a water mushroom, spouts, massaging jets. Of course there is also a water slide.

Wellness and other services
Aquapark Oravice provide also wellness services, you can use sauna and massage center, as well as restaurants and sports facilities. Aquapark is closely connected with the local ski center, which is built on very good level and is among the most visited ski resorts in the Orava region.

Visiting Aquapark Oravice can be ideal for the hiking nad skiing lovers. I think there is no better option than rest in a hot thermal water after the whole-day mountain trip in summer or skiing in winter. On the other side, swimming in the water while there is a snow all around you could be also very nice experience!

There are also many attractions you can visit nearby, one of them is Orava Castle, which is one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles in Slovakia.
