One of the most interesting ways to spend your family holidays in UK is to stay at a working farm in the rural areas of the United Kingdom. Your family will love the fresh air, great food cooked from locally-sourced fresh ingredients, and charming accommodations.

One of the great farms you can arrange to stay in during your family holidays in UK is the Harton Farm in Devon. This is a working livestock farm in Tiverton near Exmoor. Your children will definitely find it cool to be staying at a 17th century farmhouse, complete with log fires and all the trappings of farm life. You will also be able to participate in the several activities in the farm. For many guests, what they unanimously liked is the chance to eat great food. Organic fruits and vegetables, as well as additive-free beef, pork and lamb make up the daily menu.

Over at Sussex is the Beech Hill Farm. This is basically an organic sheep farm that has been converted to a farm resort. Guests range from artists and writers looking for inspirational surroundings to stay in to families who want to have a taste of rural life. The Coach House is where guests will enjoy the amenities of upscale bed and breakfast accommodation. The whole place is 20 acres of rolling orchards, which means plenty of space for everyone even when at full capacity. Guests are also treated to a magnificent view of the Sussex coastline nearby.

Being near nature is always a rewarding experience. Have your family bond over this experience by staying at farms that accept guests during your family holidays in UK.

Taormina is a small Italian town, located at the north-eastern part of Sicily island, between Messina and Catania. It is considered to be one of the most popular holiday destinations in Sicily. It lies between two wide bays, high on the hill of Monte Tauro. The proximity of both the sea and snow-covered volcano Etna, makes Taormina a very attractive place. Nature scenery and historical monuments attract travelers since the Middle Ages. Main Street consists of a number of palaces built in the 15th to 19th century.

The most important monument of Taormina is the Greek theatre Teatro Greco, built in the 3rd century BC, rebuilt later by the Romans in the 1st century BC. Theatre offers a magnificent view of snowy Mount Etna and the sea coast. During the summer there is a popular Art Festival in Taormina.

Ostuni is a town in Puglia, Italy, called “White Town” (“La Città Bianca”). It is built on a hill with a magnificent view of the sea and the surrounding valley, containing a number of rustic white houses. The city looks very vividly and is magically illuminated during the evenings. We recommend walking through the pedestrian zone of the historic center, which is still fully occupied and full of live where you can enjoy narrow streets and romantic cafes.

Do not miss the visit of the Gothic cathedral from the 15th century. Nearby there are the caves of Castellana, which include (besides the Adelsberg cave) the most important cave systems in Europe. Caves that are long 1.2km (with side passages much more) are accessible with a guide and have 2 lifts. Above the caves there is a watch tower and the Cave Museum. In the nearby town of Fasano you can visit Zoo Safari with 600 exotic animals including lions, and the Dolphinarium. This part of Puglia is famous for the unique occurrence of the “trulli” – the dominant form of a circular brick houses with conical roofs in overlapping layers. Best Trulli and other precious relics are in Alberobello, Martina Franca and Locorotondo.

The seaside town of Piran (Piran), with its five thousand inhabitants, is perhaps the most attractive and spectacular Slovenian seaside place called Venice of Slovenia. The charming Adriatic atmosphere of the city consists of historic buildings in the Venetian style, which has been preserved until today.

Due to Italian history the people have the right for Piran bilingualism. Therefore, in the streets you can often hear Italian language. If you want to enjoy a truly memorable experience, do not forget to climb the steep streets to the city walls, climb to one of the fortified towers and walk through the walls. The magnificent view, that you can see of the historic center of Piran and Adriatic Sea, will keep in your memory for a long time.

Also the most demanding visitors will be satisfied in Piran as they can enjoy enormous array of delicious restaurants, cafes and tavernas with excellent Slovenian and Italian food with the offer of great local wines. Piran immediately adjacent to the town of Portoroz, a popular fast-growing and probably the most famous Slovenian tourist destination, full of fun and enjoyment for probably every tourist.

Piran’s first settlement dates back to the 7th century. As was common in this area, also Piran was ruled by Venice, which dates from the 1283. The main source of income has been mining salt in the salt fields Sečovlje, Strunjan and Lucija.

A major attraction is the water park Laguna Bernadine, where you can try a variety of water activities and attractions, swimming pools with hot and cold water pools for children, jacuzzi, Finnish and Turkish saunas and a range of massages. Water park is open all year round.
