How to Reach Detenice from Prague
Detenice is located approximately 70 kilometres northeast of Prague, making it an easy day trip from the capital. By car, take the D10 motorway toward Mlada Boleslav and follow signs to Detenice, a journey of about one hour. Parking is available near the castle for a small fee. By public transport, take a train from Prague Main Station to Kopidlno (1 hour 20 minutes), then a 15-minute taxi to Detenice. Tour operators in Prague offer excursions including transport, castle tour, and the medieval feast from around 80 EUR per person. Book the medieval feast at least one week in advance for weekend dates, as the 200-seat hall fills quickly. Weekday evenings are less crowded. The garden terrace operates from May to September for quieter daytime dining.
