AquaCity Zalaegerszeg sprawls across the Hungarian plains like a mirage of blue and white, its outdoor wave pool sending rhythmic splashes into the warm air. AquaCity Zalaegerszeg is a huge water park located in Hungary, one of the largest and most comprehensive aquatic entertainment complexes in Central Europe. It is situated in the western part of the country, in the city of Zalaegerszeg, within easy reach of the Austrian and Slovenian borders. In the AquaCity there is also a 300-metre-long slow river suitable for relaxing, where visitors can lie back on inflatable rings and drift gently along the current, passing through indoor and outdoor sections. The depth of water in this river is 100 cm and the temperature is around 25 to 27 degrees Celsius. For active athletes there is an irregular pool covering 1,500 square metres with a depth of 0 to 150 cm, ideal for water volleyball, basketball and other pool games. For the youngest visitors there is a 30 to 55 cm deep paddling pool with lots of entertainment in the form of slides and fountains, while older children enjoy a pool with a depth of 0 to 90 cm and water temperature of 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. The most popular water attractions are eight long slides with thrilling names, including Twister, Kamikaze, Multi, Anaconda and the Black Hole, each offering a different experience of speed and twists.

AquaCity Zalaegerszeg covers 8 hectares with indoor and outdoor thermal pools, water slides and wellness facilities, making it a complete destination for a day trip or longer stay. The complex features 12 pools with water temperatures ranging from 28 to 38 degrees Celsius, ensuring there is something for every preference. The adventure section includes a wave pool, a wild river and multiple slides for all ages. A day ticket costs 17 euros for adults, with discounts available for families and groups. The hotels connected to the complex offer spa packages including accommodation, full board and unlimited pool access, making it an ideal choice for a weekend wellness break. It is open from June to August between 10:00 and 20:00, with the wave pool operating at set intervals to maximise the fun for visitors of all ages, and reduced hours in the off-season.
